Born in Havana, Cuba, 1968

High-performance trainer for artistic gymnastics | acrobat | circus artist | personal trainer lives and works in Germany.

When he was only 6 years old, he started doing gymnastics and devoted himself body and soul to sport. For three years in a row he is named national youth champion. In 1983 he won a spectacular 8 gold medals in a competition and thus received the award for the most outstanding athlete of the year in his country.

At the age of 18 he retired from competitive sports and began his career as a professional acrobat at the Moscow Circus School. He has worked in more than 25 countries and has appeared in numerous world-famous shows. At the 1993 World Circus Festival in Verona, he and his group of artists won the silver medal. The autodidact has been working with the camera as a means of expressing his observations and feelings towards people in urban areas since his early youth.

In his first solo exhibition in the Holger John gallery, Sarabia shows black and white photographs of the mood of the people in Dresden. His visual studies, across all social classes, are characterised by a highly sensitive view of the photographer on the people of this city, which focuses on individual beauty and personality.
